1.) Mari you have such beautiful and unique designs....where do you get your inspiration for your ideas?
So many different things inspire me! I am often inspired by nature...gardens and whimsical places. I love styling, that is a huge passion for me. If I could play dress up with people all day I would be in heaven...when I'm styling, I get so many ideas! Music is also a big inspiration for me, I find it brings out passion & ideas more than anything. I cannot even begin to work without my music playing.

2.) How did you come up with your names "autumn dame" and "Mari Elizabeth couture"?
Mari Elizabeth is my name (pronounced "Mary Elizabeth"). 
'autumn dame' is just me!--I am truly an autumn baby, born in October, and have a secret love affair with that season. Although many of my pieces are currently spring and summer--fall is where my heart is. I hope to bring more fall styles to the line this year.

3.) How long have you been a clothing and accessory designer?
I have always been into fashion, and  I began my bringing ideas to life 3 years ago. I believe that clothing should be fun, different, and comfortable--and that's what I try to do.

4.) How would you explain YOUR personal style?
A casual meeting of the classics...while being accompanied by a funky feminine friend.

5.) Describe yourself in TEN words or less....
Curious. Confident. Thankful. Loving. Happy.
