summer "to do" list - help me out!

Happy Monday! 
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! 
We for sure did we enjoyed our first 85 degree day and went boating :) 
I got way too much sun and am paying for it this morning :( 

Anyway...
There are SO many fun summer to do list and bucket list ideas floating around the web right now and I really 
want to make one for my kids this summer!!
BUT I need your help! 
I want at least 40 TO DO ideas 
once i have those I have a fun way I'm putting all my summer activities together that I will share with you soon!

Help me come up with my summer list!
What ideas do you have for me to add to my list?

* keep in mind my kids are boys that are almost 13 and 9*
*we do have a "pass of all passes" already to the water park and mini golf course*

  1. Since you have older ones I think it would be easier, mine are little I think its harder. I think it would be fun to have a scavenger hunt of your city to find things that youve never found before. A get to know your city better with a digi camera or something like that.
    Or what about letting one of them do a post here that would be great to hear from them here a "teen age boy" perspective of "blogging" and what you do.

  3. WOW, cute ideas! I will be following so I can get some ideas too!

    We have the pass of all passes...so Trafalga, 7 peaks, baseball games...

    We did the kids bowl free thing, bowling is always fun!

    Park city - alpine slide, coaster!
    Swimming at the local pool

    Umm...Ya, we are boring, that's all I have!

  6. go to the REAL salt lake game june 18th and see One Republic after the game...my 11 year old boy is beyond excited about this one...
    -hike the Y
    -timp cave
    -there is a cool reservoir in spanish fork (where i live) you can fish and swim and do a little hiking etc. (i don't really know where you live so sorry if they aren't helpful, i am just throwing them out there)!!
    the utah art festival in sl is coming up this month
    -the zoo
    -lagoon
    -sleep outside on the trampoline/tent and tell ghost stories
    -roast weenies and marshmellows in the canyon
    -the grotto in Payson canyon is fun (its a waterfall, easy/short hike to get there)
    -run a race
    -play hide and seek at the mall
    -make silly home movies
    -make duct tape wallets
    -hawaiian shaved ice
    -go to back to back to back movies (probably @ movies 8 or it would get really expensive)

    i best be making my own list...hopefully some of these are helpful!

    I love Chevron too. I just posted two of my Chevron projects today. I may be a little obsessed LOL! But it's so pretty!!! I love that chair!

  8. Go canoeing, wade in a river/stream, go for a family bike ride around your town, watch a movie outside...hope some of these ideas help...if you have any interesting things to do this summer let me know. Enjoy your summer :) abbyanderson35@yahoo.com

    haha, it's harder to think of any since my kids are girls and teeny tiny little things! ;)

  11. I love the bucket list! I've been keeping a running list of summer "rainy day" activities: movie day (w/ popcorn & root beer floats), Wii family olympics (crafted metals of course!), Spa Day (this is a huge hit with my girls!), and weekly nail polish day (wacky nail polish designs). Good luck :)
