I LOVE FALL
{in case you haven't noticed yet from past posts...}
and I LOVE to decorate for fall...I love all the warm colors and textures!
I made this
Burlap Ruffle Framed Mirror
in less than 30 minutes...and the best part is I can use it YEAR ROUND!!!
What you'll need :
~ Frame or Mirror
~ Burlap(or fabric of choice)I used about a 1/4 yard
~ hot glue gun
~ sewing machine (to make your ruffle)
How to :
Start by cutting your fabric into equal strips of about 1"
I used four strips for my mirror
{ i cut two of the strips in half and the other two strips into four pieces}
Next using your sewing machine turn each strip into a ruffle
{if you don't know how to sew a ruffle it's easy...*sew a straight line down the middle of your fabric with your sewing machine set on the least amount of tension and longest stitch length...leave a long piece of string at the beginning and end of your stitches...pull gently on each end of the strings to create the ruffle*}
After you have all your RUFFLES....using your hot glue gun...GLue down each section.
I did the four longest pieces first (two on top and two on the bottom...) then I did the sides!
and then your done :)
pretty easy huh?
I added some FALL leaves to the middle of my mirror that I can easily change out and replace with the appropriate holiday decor!
otherwise this baby is staying up ALL year long :)
* remember if you make this or another item using one of my tutorials be sure to let me know..I LOVE to see my readers creations!!*
HAPPY CRAFTING!
