Houston we have a {BIG} problem!!

MY HOUSE FLOODED!!
well not the whole thing...but the most important rooms
like...
MY MASTER BEDROOM
MY CRAFT ROOM
and a small corner of my
KIDS ROOM
uuugggghhhh

A pipe upstairs broke and flooded half of the downstairs
My ceiling is covered in hundreds of these

this all happended yesterday...
so while i had a DARLING tutorial planned for today...it will have to wait until tomorrow
because my house looks like this

Last night....and probably until they fix all the drywall in my room...we are sleeping in the family room on an air mattress

ohh did I mention that my hallways are SOAKED so I HAVE to wear shoes to go in any of the rooms down the hall...yup pretty fun wearing rain boots in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom!
LOL

Now would be a good time to feel sorry for me :(

  4. Oh I hope you have insurance that will cover this. I know it sucks big time right now but try to see this as an opportunity to make over your home. To start fresh. But for now I do feel sorry for you and hope it all gets fixed soon.

  6. Brittany, so sorry that happened to you all. I hope it can get fixed quickly. I can totally relate to what you are going through. We used to live in an apartment in my parents house and my dad was putting a new roof on. The roof wasn't covered up and it started pouring. I had put my 6 month old son in for his nap and he started crying. I let him cry for a little while but he wouldn't stop. When I went in to check on him the ceiling was dripping right on his head! I felt SO bad. It will get better. Hang in there!

  17. Oh no!!!! I'm so so sorry. That's the way 2011 seems to be starting off tho...we have all these great plans and then something (sickness in my case, flooding in your case) totally derails us in a really crappy way!! I'm really so sorry and hopefully you can get it taken care of quickly without too much trouble!
