How to refinish your kitchen cabinets and my style guide {{tutorial}}

First of all, thank you for all your kind and supportive comments on my
I am SO glad you all love how it turned out as much as I do!

SO after MANY
questions and emails
I decided to put together
a little how to
and MY style guide!
FIRST THE HOW TO:
How to paint your kitchen cabinets!

Step one :
 remove all your cabinet doors
and expose all your messy cupboards {gulp}
it's super easy...just unscrew the two screws attached to the DOOR
{leave the rest of the metal attached to the base}

Step two:
sand all your doors and the sides of your BASE {fixed unit} Don't forget the wood pieces in between the doors

Step Three:
PRIME all of your doors, drawers, and the base
*make sure you get a mold resistant primer since your kitchen hold a lot of moisture and water*
we used a paint brush to do all the cracks first then using a roller went over the whole thing
*we placed all of them on top of soup cans to be able to get the sides then once they were dry we flipped them over and did the backs*

Step Four:
PAINT YOUR doors, drawers, and the base unit

Step Five:
once it is was all dry we GLAZED the edges of our cabinets to create a distressed look
 GLAZING HOW TO:
 dip the end of your brush into the glaze - not too much though
 run your brush along the inside crease and cracks of your doors
 the great thing about a GLAZE is it takes a while to dry and it's water salable when wet. so you have time to play with it...
using a lint free towel wipe the excess glaze off...you can keep working with it adding and removing until it's the perfect amount of distressing for you!
 and that's it...let it dry and admire your work!

Step Six:
Replace all your doors and drawers and handles

Step Seven:
Enjoy your beautiful new painted kitchen cabinets! :)

now for my kitchen
STYLE GUIDE!

 1.) tile from Home Depot
*the inspiration that started it all - comes in a 12x12 sheet*
2.) cabinet color Behr "swiss coffee" in a satin sheen
3.) Wall color Behr "dolphin finn" eggshell sheen
*more gray in person than blue*
4.) Glaze color Valspar "mocha"
 and my darling ISLAND is from Ikea!
 anything I missed?
