Pinterest 101 - soon to be your new addiction!

I'm sure some of you have heard of 

if your like me your already ADDICTED to it!

Don't know what it is?

It is a STYLE board where you can link up all your favorite things in ONE spot!

If you have it and don't know how to use it {like I did at first} your in LUCK! 

Here is your

PINTEREST 101

First things first

YOU HAVE TO BE INVITED!

{so post it on your FB asking who has one and who can invite you - post it on your blog - ask around}
OR

I HAVE INVITES LEFT I CAN GIVE COMMENT WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ASKING FOR AN INVITE!:)

STEP ONE:

once you get the "invite" email

click the link and it will take you to a page to create your account!

The only thing is YOU MUST HAVE a FACEBOOK or TWITTER account to sign up!

STEP TWO: 

they will ask you things you are interested in to help you find others to follow -

It will automatically give you people to follow until you can "find" your own friends to follow

 

STEP THREE : 

make your "boards"

this is the categories where you can put the things you love

it starts you out with 5 but you can add more later

It automatically names them for you {above}
Or you can change them to be anything you'd like {below}

STEP FOUR : 

if you'd like to add the "pin it" to your bookmarks bar on your internet it tells you how to do it!
I recommend it!
it makes it so easy to PIN your favorite things!
{more on that in later steps}

STEP FIVE : 

start PINNING!
it will take your to your home page where you can see everyone you follow and their latest pins!

HOW TO "REPIN" : 

If you want to "repin" something someone else has pinned it's easy
put your mouse over the image and a "repin" button will automatically appear

 

A little window pops up on your screen that asks you to pick where you want to pin it to

{the boards you created earlier - or you can use the "create new board" button if you need a new category}

It will tell you it was automatically "repinned" in the category and you can either click the X or it will automatically close after 5 seconds! 
EASY AS THAT!

CREATING A NEW PIN :
This is how you can make your own pin rather than "repinning"
I am using a product on etsy to pin

From the website you are on
click the PIN IT you installed in your bookmark tool bar

 Once you click that a screen will automatically appear asking what image you want to pin

click the image you want to use
pick the category you are putting it in 
and write up a description
DONE it will say "successfully posted in ___"
it will ask you if you want to see your pin or automatically close in 5 seconds!

TRUST ME - you are going to LOVE pinterest and be addicted to it!
